and one from Caitriona!

Premiere events are taking place on September 5th in LA, sponsored by Starz, and in New York City, sponsored by Entertainment Weekly. Tickets are still available for the LA screenings on a first come, first serve basis, starting at 10:00AM on the day.

As of August 21st, tickets are sold out for the NYC EW event. There were some disgruntled fans who tried to register for tickets, as the site was deluged with simultaneous attempts. In fairness, I would hate to be a host server on any Outlander ticket registration day!! ? Congrats to the folks who got through and are going. Sorry to those who got stuck, that’s frustrating!

For our Aussies out there, Season 3 will premiere on September 11th on Showcase.

And for you Kiwis, it’s Monday, 9/11 at 7:00PM Kiwi time ? (thanks Rhonnie and LightboxNZ)

Random House just released Diana’s Voyager with the new Starz tie-in cover (in case you need another one ?).

Season 4 updates:

According to Caitriona, when asked recently on Twitter when S4 filming is due to begin, she tweeted roughly October 6th…

Gary and Matt have been scouting locations, and by the looks of things, Season 4 will be just as beautiful as prior seasons.

Perhaps a little more Stephen Bonnet looking in this photo…

Here’s some video of Kevin

Marked occasions this month include:

Congrats again, Diana on becoming a grandmother for the first time! She shared a photo of her new grand baby: Santiago Douglas…

Happy birthday (August 13th) to our Young Fergus, Romann Berrux. It was his Sweet 16 (doesn’t seem possible!)

And, Happy birthday to our “Jenny,” Laura Donnelly, who was 35 on August 20th.

In other news, lots of fans are heading to the Europe between now and mid October for various Outlander gatherings. Scott Kyle’s Highlander Fling happens on Sept 16th, and it looks like attendees may be treated to the lovely Stephen Walters, among others slated to be there. Stephen has been making people’s days by writing poems to them on Twitter lately ?.

Duncan LaCroix has been climbing mountains as part of his MPC2017 efforts, which certainly look as if they’re paying off. Looking very fit and healthy Duncan!

First it was Ben Lomond, and then Ben Lawers a few days later…

OutlanderBTS.com released Part 2 of (my) interview with Steven Cree. Check it out if you’ve not had a chance yet…

In case you missed it, Diana shared daily lines on Twitter: a scene with Brian and Willie on the day of Jamie’s birth. I asked if little Santiago’s arrival had prompted Diana to write Jamie’s birth story…

Ellen and Brian will be getting their own full length novel eventually…

And when asked if she writes multiple novels at the same time, and when a ballpark release date for Brian and Ellen’s story might be, Diana responded:

Diana also said that BEES will definitely be out before this prequel.

There’s been some recent discussion about William… SPOILERS for people who ONLY watch the show…

Among other things, we can look forward to more bonding between Brianna and William in BEES…

Roger’s birthday was determined on Twitter by German translator, friend, and Friesian consultant to Diana, Barbara Schnell..

And one last one for fun…

This reply, like so many of her witty retorts, made me chuckle… any volunteers?

David Berry recently participated in the ANZOF (Australia New Zealand Outlander Fan) convention in the Blue Mountains of Australia, where Meme Queen Jenny Jeffries was in attendance. She shared her sentiments and some photos…

He sang, and by appearances, a good time was had by all.

Speaking of David Berry, he did a short Q&A on Twitter. Since he doesn’t (yet) have a Twitter account, he did it via @BerrysBeefsteak (thank you!) while they were together at the ANZOF gathering.

Here are the highlights…

and finally, on joining Twitter…

Sam had this to say about our new Lord John Grey…

Corroborated by Àdhamh

I’m very much looking forward to meeting screen LJG as well as David Berry at some point (I’m sure I speak for all of us ?).

Highlander from Season 1, Ronnie B. Goodwin, who took this absolutely smashing photo of Stephen Walters, will be in Fort Collins, CO on September 3rd doing a meet and greet. Ronnie describes himself as a “director, storyteller, photographer, actor, horseman, and maker of little films.”

What’s to do – what Outlander folks are up to, besides Outlander…

Ron spent time with NASA astronaut Garrett Reisman earlier this month.

Only a couple more days to catch Grant O’Rourke at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where he’s playing dart legend Jocky Wison in Jocky Wilson Said, Gilded Balloon Rose Theatre, August 2-24, 3.45pm.

  1. I just want to tell you how I appreciate your posts. They are always informative and filled with humor. I have followed you for a while now but have never commented how much I enjoy your insights and interviews

    • Thank you for taking the time to let me know that Laura ?, it really means a lot to me to know you enjoy what I’m producing x

  2. Thanks for the post. Why in the world did Starz and EW do their events the same day. Sam and Cait are supposed to be at the EW thing right. You’d think the network would’ve rather them be at theirs in LA.

    • Well NYC has traditionally been the big premiere spot and my guess is EW is putting up the $ for it so they are getting the leads…
