As of August 21st, tickets are sold out for the NYC EW event. There were some disgruntled fans who tried to register for tickets, as the site was deluged with simultaneous attempts. In fairness, I would hate to be a host server on any Outlander ticket registration day!! ? Congrats to the folks who got through and are going. Sorry to those who got stuck, that’s frustrating!

Casting is underway…
Dubliner Kevin J. Ryan says he read for the part of Stephen Bonnet…
He could totally be Stephen Bonnet but would anyone believe he could be stinky, creepy, battered boxer attractive? Look at that face. Roger. pic.twitter.com/tKQqOgtO1d

Funnily enough I just read for Stephen Bonnet @Outlander_STARZ it's a great show https://t.co/kgbESWdtfR

In other news, lots of fans are heading to the Europe between now and mid October for various Outlander gatherings. Scott Kyle’s Highlander Fling happens on Sept 16th, and it looks like attendees may be treated to the lovely Stephen Walters, among others slated to be there. Stephen has been making people’s days by writing poems to them on Twitter lately ?.
To those who keep on asking me-I really hope to be seeing this lovely chap in Scotland next month…fingers crossed????x pic.twitter.com/4RiQkOe85Q

Duncan LaCroix has been climbing mountains as part of his MPC2017 efforts, which certainly look as if they’re paying off. Looking very fit and healthy Duncan!

In case you missed it, Diana shared daily lines on Twitter: a scene with Brian and Willie on the day of Jamie’s birth. I asked if little Santiago’s arrival had prompted Diana to write Jamie’s birth story…
awww has Santi inspired Jamie's birth story? ????
— Courtney Williams OutlanderBTS (@Courtilini14) August 12, 2017
No. I wrote this bit a couple of years ago. https://t.co/LVQhY6o7QA
— Diana Gabaldon (@Writer_DG) August 13, 2017
Ellen and Brian will be getting their own full length novel eventually…
It'll be a full-length novel. It would be exaggerating to call it "in process" at the moment, but bits of it exist, at least. https://t.co/4U2Z9ZgR6Y
— Diana Gabaldon (@Writer_DG) August 14, 2017
And when asked if she writes multiple novels at the same time, and when a ballpark release date for Brian and Ellen’s story might be, Diana responded:
Yes, though usually one novel is the one I'm "working" on primarily; the others just have bits bubble up now and then. https://t.co/p8x92y8miV
— Diana Gabaldon (@Writer_DG) August 13, 2017
Diana also said that BEES will definitely be out before this prequel.
There’s been some recent discussion about William… SPOILERS for people who ONLY watch the show…
I wonder if part of him was angry at his father (Mac) for leaving. He wouldn't understand why Jamie had to go.
— AmieCrazyCat???????????????????????????????????????????????? (@MissAmeliaCat) August 14, 2017
Of course he was. Read the bit in MOBY where he punches a saddle bag, when he realizes this consciously. https://t.co/uoBM8cbkYi
— Diana Gabaldon (@Writer_DG) August 15, 2017
I can't wait to read how Brianna and William build their relationship as brother and sister.
— Sharon (@boboloca) August 15, 2017
Among other things, we can look forward to more bonding between Brianna and William in BEES…
I just wrote a good chunk concerning that. Think y'all will enjoy seeing it… https://t.co/LIUJTZngmH
— Diana Gabaldon (@Writer_DG) August 15, 2017
Roger’s birthday was determined on Twitter by German translator, friend, and Friesian consultant to Diana, Barbara Schnell..
Hm. That's interesting. Did I say how old he is, anywhere? (I know he's some older than Bree, but not by how much…) https://t.co/fyyYSkCPkD
— Diana Gabaldon (@Writer_DG) August 16, 2017
Bethnal Green happened in 1943, Roger is about two then. He's born in early fall/late Summer 1941.
— Barbara Schnell (@Barbara_Schnell) August 16, 2017
And one last one for fun…
Beautiful.
Q to Diana. Do you experiment with medical techniques or are they from research eg. Snake fang hypodermic. Love the detail.— Michele Colvin McKenzie (@MColvinMcKenzie) August 15, 2017
This reply, like so many of her witty retorts, made me chuckle… any volunteers?
I'm not sure who I'd experiment _on_… I taught Human Anatomy and Phys. and I _am_ reasonably good at research, but fang was imagination. https://t.co/bs4vErGVWv

David Berry recently participated in the ANZOF (Australia New Zealand Outlander Fan) convention in the Blue Mountains of Australia, where Meme Queen Jenny Jeffries was in attendance. She shared her sentiments and some photos…

Thank you for taking the time to let me know that Laura ?, it really means a lot to me to know you enjoy what I’m producing x
Thanks for the post. Why in the world did Starz and EW do their events the same day. Sam and Cait are supposed to be at the EW thing right. You’d think the network would’ve rather them be at theirs in LA.
Well NYC has traditionally been the big premiere spot and my guess is EW is putting up the $ for it so they are getting the leads…
