Fergus Q&A Highlights… Bro’s, Eunuchs, ? Soup for Fersali?, Father Fogden, Governor’s Ball, & More…

I haven’t met CĂ©sar yet, but casting director Suzanne Smith has an uncanny ability to find people who are similar to their characters, which is interesting and a little scary in the case of Tobias (ahem). We know our beloved Fergus is very confident in himself, and even a little vain, so I chuckled at CĂ©sar’s first Q&A input today…

(that was a tongue in cheek comment, btw, by all accounts CĂ©sar is a wonderful, humble (not vain) guy!)

On the Outlander fandom…

Maybe not so vain after all ?…

Fergus in one word…

How is it using his wooden hand?

On making the transition from Romann to CĂ©sar…

Best thing about Fersali…

When asked about their chemistry test prior to getting the roles, CĂ©sar said…

On Marsali’s lines…

How does Fergus feel about Marsali’s attitude toward Claire?

Any turtle soup on the wedding night? ?

On advice for Fersali…

On watching his own scenes…

On getting injured on set…

Funniest scene so far…

Selfie request thwarted by logistics…

Fave thing about Lauren…

Bro’s hang out…

When Lauren was asked if she’s learned any french from CĂ©sar, she said “Oui. I do an extremely accurate impression of his accent that i’m sure he would vouch for.”

He says she’s learned “not a word” ?

When asked who’s the funniest, Lauren answered that they are both hilarious, but CĂ©sar says it’s Lauren…

Favorite moment on set… ? ? ?

On bloopers…

On the below scene…

What CĂ©sar loves about joining Outlander…

On working with John Bell…

On playing the scene when Jamie gives Fergus his surname….

Translation:

Q: Were you moved by doing this scene? Personally I cried at the “claudel fergus fraser.”

A: Serious I found it too beautiful I wanted it to be funny and light, but not between fergus and Jamie. What is happening in silence was too important and beautiful to play.

On the most difficult scene for CĂ©sar in S3…

Translation:

Q: What was the most difficult scene to play pr you?

A:Wedding! Because I wanted it to be perfect and full of things being played out at the same time

On the that famous scene with Father Fogden…

Fersali’s major weakness…

Translation: No common account (? Bank account?)

Did CĂ©sar read the books?

Favorite thing about filming in SA…

On Caitriona…

Fergus loves Mommy…

Too hard to choose…

Emmy for Mommy?

On speaking french on set…

Translation:

Q: Do you speak in french all the time on set and they can’t understand you?

A: Like a crazy all alone of course often

Is Sam a father figure?

Translation:

Q: For Fergus, Jamie is a father figure, is that how you feel about Sam?

A: ?

Translation:

Q: Was it difficult to record a scene because of the laugh of Caitriona?

A: Sam’s ready to crack at any time but he’s so good at retaining it

Best memory from S. Africa?

On filming in Scotland…

CĂ©sar says he will soon be doing a project for French cinema.

Looks like CĂ©sar prepares like Sam ? ?

Translation:

Q: Do you cook?

A: Yep

CĂ©sar’s favorite place in France besides Paris is Le Luberon and he would like to work with Mathieu Amalric. His favorite movie is Buffalo 66. His current favorite song is Need a break by Kodak Black.

Fave TV shows…

Silliness…

  1. I had the opportunity to meet Cesar at the Gathering on the Ridge last summer in the North Carolina mountains, hosted by Novel Adventures. I would not call him vain at all. He was charming, and spent time with most of the women who were there. He was with us for four days, and I never saw any signs of a diva. He was very interested in participating in all our classes, etc., and went to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games as our guest.

    • That comment was tongue in cheek. From all reports (including yours) he’s a very sweet guy. Seems like that was a fun event too – thanks for your comment 🙂
