Am I the only one who DOESN’T see Jamie as stubborn and hard headed etc, but instead sees Claire and the hard headed, persistent, hard driving woman, certainly of the 21st century ! Love her character and portrayal. Jamie is certainly a strong survivor, but that comes from a strong core, inner strength and a soft, tender cuddly nurturing character that I’m guess he probably is in real life. See it often in the sons raised by single moms who develop a very characteristic nurturing way with women that I see in Jamie
I think you are blending Sam and Jamie? Sam was raised by a single mom, but Jamie was raised by a single dad! Sam claims to be very stubborn in real life. I think Claire and Jamie are both stubborn, but the show portrays Claire as the more stubborn of the two (as part of the strong woman trope, imo). I think Sam does have a caring core, but he is also a very hard driver in real life!
