Hi All,
Happy almost Thanksgiving to you guys in the US, and everywhere.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, because it’s about family, gratitude, traditions, and food (for me). This year many of us will be staying home for Thanksgiving, enjoying it with those in our bubbles, and with our loved ones via Zoom.
Among many other things, I’m thankful for my health, my family, my close friends, my community, and my work – which includes this blog. I’m thankful for Outlander, in all its forms, for Diana G, and for everyone who brings us Outlander and participates in its communal orbit, which is vast.
The BTS Lasses and I have done 3 Zoom parties over the last month, and I’m amazed at the global nature of this phenomenon, and the extraordinary individuals it attracts. I am thankful for my BTS Sisters, and for you guys who watch us, watch my interviews, and read posts.
May Outlander (the show) continue for all 10 books! (this is my hope).
This has been a rough year, for some more than others. There has been so much loss. My heart goes out to everyone who is struggling, and grieving.
My hope is that we can all find joy, and gratitude, in the smallest things; I believe this will help get us through.
I wish you so many blessings on this Thanksgiving Eve. Thank you for being in my Outlander community. You are valued, and appreciated.
With love,
xo, Courtney
Love to you, Courtney. I’m thankful for people like you. Love your work so much
Thank you Joan 💕 – I am thankful for you. xo
Ditto and amen!😘🌻🌞

Thank you so much Courtney! I’m a retired teacher, (30 years), and my husband and I have been pretty much isolated in our house because of the virus. We both have conditions that make us vulnerable, so Dr. appointments and picking up groceries is the extent of our socializing. 😆. Relatives are in Colorado. I tell you all of this so that you can understand when I say that Outlander has been a God send! I have probably seen all of the episodes at least 20 times, and this old lady feels like a Grandma to the cast! I love your insight and the added info you deliver. Thank you so much!
Hi Nancy – We’re all lucky to have Outlander right now! I’m glad to hear you and your hubby are staying safe & I’m happy you are enjoying the blog. Happy TG ❤️
Wishing the same for you and your family, Courtney.
Thank you Arlene – a little birdie told me you just had a big birthday 😁 – happy thanksgiving & happy belated birthday! xo
Happy Thanksgiving Courtney 🦃 May you and your family be blessed with a healthy and happy holiday season. Thanks for all the joy you and the BTS lasses bring to this #Outlander fanatic! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all through the zoom chat. Lots of good luck in the coming year, stay safe. Xo ❤
Thank you Susan! I receive your blessings and hope the same for you. Here’s to a brighter 2021. xo
Blessings to you as well! It was so much fun to meet you and the gang at Wizard World this past January. Seems like eons ago!
Thank you Piper, in hindsight I’m so thankful we all went to NOLA!! It does seem like a dream at this point. Take good care. xo
Blessings to you and all the BTS family. Thankful my family has remained healthy and surviving during this most difficult time. Hoping we all can adjust to the new normal come 2021. ❤️❤️
Thank you Maria. I’m glad to hear your family is well, and I will pass along your well wishes to the lasses. I’m hoping the new normal returns somewhat to the old normal? Probably not in 2021, but maybe 2022 or 23? Blessings to you. x
From us in Canada to you Courtney and your family in The United States, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving. It is the best holiday of the year. In spite of the pandemic, we still have much to be thankful for. We all have each other even though families cannot be together. Yes, Zoom and Face time are great due to the present situation but they don’t replace a big hug and handshake. Soon, hopefully, we’ll all be able to give hugs again. So you and yours keep safe and enjoy a Blessed Thanksgiving.
Thank you Rhona – I enjoy your comments.
Happy TG to you and your family in Canada, and yes! How wonderful it will be when we return to real hugs! xo

Happy Thanksgiving to you Courtney. I have so enjoyed the episode discussions the four of you have done. Pricelessly entertaining in a year when we so needed it. Blessings.
thank you for your kind words
Even far away here in Jordan, those of us with roots in the States, look forward to the most cherished holiday of the year.
Following the guidelines, our immediate family of seven gathered for the traditional feast. Including Turkey, sweet potatoes, pumpkin desserts, all made from scratch. But besides the leftovers and the lingering reminders we were thankful for a good year and good health. We saw our US family as they, too, were preparing to celebrate.
We can thank technology for bringing us all together across the miles.
Thank you for you thoughtful wishes. I send them right back to you. Outlander discussion has been a saving device for me during this very hard 2020 year. I a grateful it is almost over and 2021 will be better for all of us world wide. I am lucky and have much to be thankful for. So far, all of my family has maintained good health and are following the sensible guidelines for not getting CV19. I know some who have had close calls and are now paying more attention. I have had two people I know die from it so I am making sure I do not cause my children or grandchildren that kind of worry. I celebrated with my son and his family after quarantining two weeks, testing negative and being careful. I am lucky, many are not. My daughter works on the front lines and so far has been successful in staying safe. Many are missing people at their usual fest of food this time of year. Stay safe and healthy. We must take care of each other.
Well said Courtney. I am thankful for the farm workers who are also essential workers who pick our bounty we bring to our tables. I am thankful for my husband and dog who I spent the day and evening with. I am thankful for my ancestors who met secretly in Scrooby, England who risked everything and left the old country to start anew. I am thankful to old friends and new friends who I connect with through Zoom at times like this and for the wonderful phone calls. I am thankful for Outlander for giving me a new spark in life and for all of my Outlander BTS friends. I am thankful for a free country where a vote still means that the people have the last say.
