OutlanderBTS #TBT: Sam & Cait

Throwback Thursday to what I think was Cait’s first fan convention, (it was my first Comic Con experience!), and a time, 4 years ago, today (2017), when we gathered without masks! This was Emerald City Comic Con, or ECCC2017, and it was a great one.

I took this photo, crouched down at the foot of the stage, next to other photographers, each with our own camera kit and lenses. I believe Sam was quite hung over at this particular moment, having drunk a plethora of Kilt Makers or some such bevvy the night before. šŸ˜ I think Cait had a good experience, and went on to do more conventions. I look forward to the day we can do these again.

I wrote a piece about my OutlanderBTS Adventure that weekend: ECCC 2107, with more photos, in case you haven’t seen it or want to revisit.

If you havenā€™t yet, be sure and catch my latest piece, an apologia about Herself and why Bees is taking a wee while. Go to Featured Favorites to catch up on all my Season 6 posts, and for the featured posts of the moment, about Diana G.

I hope you are well on this Throwback Thursday. Thanks to my lovely Patron, Joan Fader, for giving me the idea to post this today.

  1. Iā€™d love to be a patron one day. Iā€™m retired but my husband – who watches the show too- is in the live entertainment lighting business (formerly taught college level tech theatre and lighting design etc)And as you can imagine there is literally 0 live events anywhere, and has had to take a big salary cut. Broadway is dark as is every theatre in the USA. Even in Las Vegas! So hopefully soon I can contribute . We get our 2nd vaccine next week!

    • Congratulations on your vaccinations Anne! I am honored and humbled by your comments. You guys take care of yourselves, becoming a Patron will be here when youā€™re ready. šŸ˜˜

  2. Queue the music, “Those Were the Days”. *sigh* Yes, looking forward to live comic.cons again! Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

  3. Little did Sam and Caitriona know at that time how their lives would be changed forever and how their fan base would be huge. It seems like yesterday when they were propelled into the wild wild world of TV popularity and the hectic pace of the TV series Outlander.
