  1. Who is that lucky lady Sam is standing so close to touching her shoulder. I’m usually not an envious person, but right now I am. Great pictures, love your blog.

  2. Sam was ill? Did he have the flu?

I was in NY on April 9 for the Tartan week parade. It was cold and rainy but my boyfriend and I stayed till the end and really by accident were able to get close to Sam when he came down the double deck bus and he shook my hand. My boyfriend took what he thought was a picture but at the hotel we realize that it was a video.
Sam is so good looking and looked much younger than his age.

    • Hi Astrid, we must’ve been right near each other at the parade… He apparently told some people in Rome a few months later that he had had a fever on the Thursday (costume event) but felt well for the parade.

  3. I’d say Sam is using lucky lady’s shoulder to write his signature. Even so, would love to swap places with her..

  4. I would loved have to seen the costumes. My mum used to tell a funny story about the New Look. She and her best friend were 20 when it was introduced and were most reluctant to conform but in the end had to, since they were the only ones left still wearing short war time skirt lengths! Both were short (like me).

The photo of the lady with Sam already identified is great, both have lovely expressions.

Thanks for the great diary of your visit,

new to Outlander and well done to everyone involved
