Happy Birthday Jamie and Sam!

Today (May 1st) is JAMMF’s birthday – and he is, by my count, 303 years old today! (born May 1, 1721). Dang he is well preserved! šŸ˜œ

Julia LeBlanc put together a nice video to celebrate Jamie’s wee birthday today, enjoy…

As many of you know, April 30th is Sam’s birthday – Sam turned 44 yesterday. Sam was cast as Jamie on July 9, 2013, less than 3 months after his 33rd birthday – he has been playing Jamie for over a decade now.  At the Land Con 6 convention just last month, Sam talked about wrapping up playing Jamie… thanks to Roster Con and Land Con for the video…

This year for Sam’s birthday,  Tash (@peekaboo_jen) again did a fundraiser for the wonderful Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh (one of my favorite theater venues). In a tweet today she said: “Fun fact: The Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh was constructed by CJ Phipps for Howard and Wyndham at an original cost of Ā£17,000. Guess how much money our Sam’s birthday fundraiser raised? Ā£17001.”

Way to go Tash and everyone who contributed!

The latest MPC gala was this past weekend, and I’m sure there was celebrating. Did any of you attend? If so, let us know in the comments!

Hope all is well with you. xo

  1. I’ve become seriously disillusioned with “Outlander” as a TV show. I used to be crazy for it, watching episodes and seasons over and over, and have read all of Diana’s books three times, at least. However, season 7A was disappointing. It skipped from scene to scene without any depth or detailed attention paid to anything. Sam doesn’t seem to post anything anymore that isn’t selling tequila or whiskey. It’s all so grasping, as if to say, “Let’s hustle and get through this as fast as we can, cram two or three books into the space of two seasons/series, and try to sell a lot of merch before it all ends.” I’m not sure I’m even interested anymore.

  2. Hi Courtney! Itā€™s so nice to hear from you. I hope youā€™re doing well. Even after all the drought, I still eagerly await Season 7/Part 2 and Book 10. Kind regards and a Happy Spring to you and the other BTS girls.

  3. So glad youā€™re still doing this Courtney!! The video from Julia LeBlanc is beautiful thanks for sharing it, I hadnā€™t seen it before. ā¤ļøā¤ļø

  8. So very happy to see your post and ā€œhear your voiceā€ on all things Outlander. I look forward to taking the journey with you, Antoinette, Karmen and Cathy, as Starz Outlander comes to a finale. Iā€™m preparing myself ā€¦ wonā€™t be easy. Thanks for taking us along.

  9. Hey Courtney,
Thanks for this email. Iā€™ve missed hearing from you and seeing you on video. Hoping all is well with you and that you enjoyed your time in Scotland. Last year? The year before??
    A big fan,
    Sharon

  10. Good to see you again Courtney. Would be lovely to see your episode discussions with the other lovely ladies again. I hope you are feeling well.

  11. It is always so nice to get your updates, Courtney. I have been in Scotland for 10 days and attended the gala for the first time. I was telling all my roommates (7 of us in an AirBNB) about your website and all the wonderful conversations you and the lasses bring. So you may have some new readers! The gala was so fun, meeting members of My Peak Challenge and seeing Sam and his coaches embrace the community he created! He was all in and seemed to have fun at our inaugural Peaker Highland Games and workouts. It was quite a memorable experience!

  12. I’m glad you’re back, Courtney! I hope you’re doing well. Hoping to hear more from you. You’ve been missed…
