Episode 101, Providence

Episode 102, SWAK

Episode 103, School of the Moon

Episode 105, Needfire

Episode 107, Luceo Non Uro

Episode 108, A Virtuous Woman – Karmen, Cathy and I discussed this episode on Monday, Sept 22nd, and unfortunately, I became distracted right before intro’s and forgot to hit record. I realized this 2.5 hours later during our goodbyes, and I wanted to cry. There is no Ep 108 discussion for you this week, I am really sorry! We will circle back and redo this one at some point.

We skipped Ep 104 in order to catch up with the viewing audience, and we will go back and discuss that one after the season ends as well.

Prior to the start of Blood of My Blood, we did continue discussing episodes, as promised. I published Episode 713, Hello, Goodbye in June, and Episode 701, A Life Well Lost, in July; we will keep discussing Season 7A episodes after the Blood of My Blood season.

  1. Omg Courtney, I would have cried!! Thats so frustrating for you. Well maybe the next one would be even better.

So looking forward to meeting all the BTS Lassies!

I am in Vermont at the moment and while doing a guided hike of maple syrup making, we came across a plant called Baneberry…apparently it will kill you if you injest it.

Which begs the question, could Father Bane have been created by Diana with the plant in mind or possibly from the phrase, \”bane of my existence\”?

I didnt go back and look, so I dont remember if thats how is name is spelled in the book. But it crossed my mind regardless.

On top of that, ive been rereading and sometimes listening to the first book…and its cool because there\’s alot that ties in with BOMB. Thats been fun for me!

Anywho…I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the last episode. I was riveted. So much to think about and I know they cant always do this, but I loved how the entire episode focused almost entirely on Ellen.

    Have a great weekend!

    Conny

    • Thank you for the acknowledgment and validation Conny!!! I was pretty upset. But, yes, maybe an even better convo is on the horizon! We had a very good convo about 108. All three of us loved it. Antoinette is the wild card!

Interesting on the Baneberry! I think Father Bain is spelled with an i. But bane of my existence is bane, so… Maple syrup tasting sounds good!

Cool re Book 1. Not surprised – Matt is good!

We are looking forward to meeting you too :).

  2. Oh my Courtney, you forgot to press record! 🙃🤪 I bet you could have cried … but worse things happen at sea! Or so the expression goes. 😅

    I am struggling with BomB.
This ep 108 where Julia and Henry see each other and they just stand there!!
The most annoying thing for me, was when Julia beckon Henry to follow her, which he did. Then she stands there like a lemon!! Far to long await. Wouldn’t you or I rush towards the other person? Then Henry not to go with Julia as well (he could have just as easily), as they have spent months trying to find one another….. did not work for me!
Apologies if I should have left all this till you discuss ep8, but i needed to vent! 😆🙃
Would it be a fair comment to say Matt B Roberts is a great script writer, but not an author?
Ellen’s ordeal is nothing short of horrific, but we have know for many years than women have had to go through this kind of treatment for centuries.
    Enjoy Scotland when it comes.
I went to Dumfries and Galloway last week and saw Sam’s childhood home in the grounds of Kenmuir Castle. Unfortunately the ground was very wet and boggy and as we didn’t have the right shoes on (could have done with Wellies), so we didn’t get to see the castle.

    • Henry is a little different!

No worries, we did discuss it! 😆

There are some issues for sure but I’m enjoying it. I think Antoinette would agree with you though!

Scotland is approaching! As you know, we are also headed to Dumfries! Sorry you missed the castle! Wellies take up too much room tho! Have to noodle that one. See you soon!

  3. Maybe you have already seen this, but if not I thought you might be interested since you will be seeing Sam in his upcoming stage role. You might be interested to note that one of the other actors is Alec Newman, who played Lizzie’s father for about 30 seconds in Outlander Season 4. I have also seen him in a lot of other British shows.

  4. I’ve been reading about the recent big storms in the UK, and hope the aftermath doesn’t impact your trip. Wishing you safe travels, and only fair winds. From all I’ve heard about Scotland, I think blue skies would be stretching it, but I hope you have at least some of those.
