The saga will continue on screen, yes!!

A congratulatory tweet from Sam, about finishing Season 6 first…

From show runner Matt Roberts:
“We are so excited Starz has given us the opportunity to continue the epic Outlander journey,” showrunner Matt Roberts said via statement. “We can’t wait to get into the writers’ room and start breaking Echo in the Bone and look forward to giving the fans another season of this exhilarating story.”

Season 7 will again consist of 12 episodes, and will (of course) be based on the 7th book in Diana’s series (of 8, about to be 9, and eventually 10 books):  An Echo in the Bone.

Wooo hoooo!

  1. Thank you, Courtney, for sharing this simply delightful news that our dear characters will return to continue the story!

  2. Starz and Sony have a sure thing with Outlander and it’s no surprise to me that they renewed it for another season! Really something to look forward to now! There are some good storylines in Echo in the Bone!

    • Hi Astrid! Well, they were contracted for 7 seasons *if* Starz picked up the option (which they’d have been crazy not to). I hope they’ll do all ten! x

    • Am in Seventh heaven over this awesome news. Season 6 in production and Season 7 on board. Really do miss the Outlander clan.
