Starz just released this – hot off the press. Meet Irish actress, Jessica Reynolds who is playing Malva!
“Jessica is a 2019 graduate of LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) – founded by Paul McCartney.
At the age of 17, Jessica landed the regular role of Gwen in MORGANA in a Television Pilot for Disney and DHX Media. She went on to drama school shortly after, and has gone on to play various stage roles during her training to include: Beatrice in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, Rachel in SECOND PERSON NARRATIVE, Alais in THE LION IN WINTER and Pargeia in WELCOME TO THEBES.
Jessica has continued to do professional work alongside her drama school training to include music videos, augmented reality work with Immersive StoryLab, and devising work with Slung Low theatre company.
This year, Jessica has already filmed for the title role in new feature film, THE CURSE OF AUDREY EARNSHAW (Gate 67 Films) for director Thomas Robert Lee, and for a new comedy-drama MY LEFT NUT (Rollem Productions for the BBC) where she plays the regular role of Rachael. She has also produced and starred in her own short film which is currently in post-production.
Outside of acting, Jessica is a fully trained gymnast.”

And the actor playing Allan is pretty much as I pictured him. Maybe a bit younger.
She had dark hair and grey eyes. Jessica is pretty darn close in appearance.
Outlander wiki says:
Described as a tallish girl, soft black curls, almond-shaped luminous light gray eyes, an oval shaped face, and pale complexion.[1]
Jessica is very short with dark brown eyes – the hair is right – her eye shape is right, complexion, check. I always go back to Graham McTavish – who did not resemble book Dougal at all, but nailed the role. I have a feeling this girl will be great.

She is a bit smaller than what my minds eye saw in the book but I am sure if DG says she is Malva she will be fantastic.
